Back in 1997, the value of real estate was nowhere close to what it is today. Many homes in Whistler built their house with a suite. This set-up enabled the homeowner to generate a monthly income. This property has a two bedroom suite which is accessible from both the interior of the house and also from the exterior.
Nightly Rental at Snowridge Crescent
Snowridge Crescent is zoned RTA25. This zoning allows you to legally rent out your house on a nightly basis. You will have to get a license from the municipality if you are managing the rentals yourself. If you are not using the property at Christmas and New Year, you would earn enough to pay for your property taxes, and your annual strata fees.
Whistler Village or Whistler Creekside
Many buyers want to be close to Whistler Village. It is a decision to move to Creekside, but I would suggest that with this location, it won’t be long before you are thinking twice about going to the village. Especially since the Rim Rock Restaurant is within walking distance to Snowridge Crescent. The Rim Rock is of the same calibre as Araxi and the Bearfoot Bistro.
A classic example of this is location, and it comes down to Whistler Village versus Whistler Creekside. Ask any local, or ask anyone who has owned and enjoyed a second home in any part of Whistler and they will tell you that Whistler Village is not for everyone. Of course it would be wonderful if this home was close to Whistler Village, but it is not. The words of the song which say “…love the one you are with…” have a deeper meaning when it comes to 2578 Snowridge Crescent.
