Ski-in/Ski-out Luxury Homes on Summit Lane
This is an enclave of seven houses and a duplex. West Coast architecture is how I would describe the buildings. Only the two nearest the Magic Run, and the one at the entrance can best be seen from the Blackcomb Excalibur Gondola. I doubt one person on the gondola has said, “I wouldn’t want to live there!”…everyone wants to live on Summit Lane. That sentiment makes it, without a doubt the most enviable ski-in/ski-out location for a house in Whistler.
Summit Lane is flat, so it is an easy walk to the slopes. The ski-in ski-out access is the same flat trail. Your first run is the Magic Run and that is a beginner slope, where lots of people learn to ski and board.
I have included Summit Lane on this site to show you, the buyer, that Whistler does have a variety of luxury homes which are ski-in/ski-out. However, you may be better to check out what is actually listed for sale in Whistler, rather than bank your hopes on a Summit Lane house being listed. See the sales below to confirm what I mean.
Talk about an enviable location for a ski-in/ski-out house! You may have seen these multi-million dollar beauties on Summit Lane as you ride up the Magic Chair on Blackcomb Mountain. This development built in 1999 on Summit Lane is on the right hand side just before you come into Base II. From the Magic Chair you will only see one or two houses but there are 8 detached homes and 1 duplex in this exclusive enclave. From the photograph above, you can tell this is a private enclave…no photographs allowed.
It is very rare that these properties are for sale. The last listing on Summit Lane was in July 2006 and that house sold in January 2009. Once house sold privately in 2014. Despite tremendous equity growth in each of these homes, the owners just do not want to sell. Stating, where would they go after Summit Lane? Good question. However, I think it is important to keep this section on Summit Lane, so you know where all the true luxury ski homes are located in Whistler. Table of Contents.
