Pinnacle Ridge, 4700 Glacier Drive, Whistler, B.C.
World class, Pinnacle Ridge, 4700 Glacier Drive, Whistler, BC, is a sought-after development of luxury townhouse and duplex buildings. Located on the edge of the Magic Run on Blackcomb Mountain, walking to the slope takes minutes, and it is on the flat.
These townhouses are very popular with buyers who see the value in owning a ski-in ski-out townhouse. Rather than spending $4 to $5 million plus dollars on a house somewhere in Whistler. The benefit to Pinnacle Ridge is also the location to Whistler Village, and the Upper Village which has the Fairmont Chateau Whistler.
At this price you really should look at all your options. You may prefer the value of a house that is walk to the village. That’s where my experience can help you quickly determine if the lure of ski-in ski-out is more important to you than a house. It is very important to me that you are satisfied with your decision.

- Questions About Buying in Pinnacle Ridge?
The ultimate ski-in ski-out location is offered by these prestigious, high-end townhomes on Blackcomb Mountain. Most of these townhouses have a living room fireplace, a private indoor or outdoor hot tub, a spacious living room with a vaulted ceiling. When you take the Magic Chair from the base of Blackcomb up to Base II you will pass Pinnacle Ridge on the right-hand side. These are the townhouses that everyone wants to stay in. They are in a private location, with super-easy access to the beginner slope.
Most have been renovated from the original by now, so each townhouse has something different to offer. Glacier Drive does not have a sidewalk and is too busy in winter to walk on. I wouldn’t risk it too often and certainly never with children. Best to take the bus. Table of Contents

For a clearer and a version to print, best to use this Pinnacle Ridge Site Plan shows the location of each unit. The strata council at Pinnacle Ridge seem to be very sensible individuals. They have prepared, with an architect, an outline of what can be incorporated into each property. This typically means that the indoor hot tub room can be made into a den, or expanded living room. The hot tub can then go outside. Table of Contents

Easy, ski-in ski-out access on to the Magic Run is at the north end of the development. The Magic Run is also for beginner skiers and boarders so, it is a very easy ski-slope for everyone to have their first warm-up run. All properties in Pinnacle Ridge are very close to the ski-run, however, some are closer than others. From there the closest lift is the new ten passenger gondola which replaced the Wizard and Solar Coaster chairs in 2018. This new gondola ends at the Peak to Peak Gondola station. Another option is to take the Magic Chair back up to Base 2. From there you can schuss down into Whistler Village and ride up the Whistler Village Gondola for Whistler Mountain. Table of Contents

The only storage is what you have in your own townhouse. Fortunately the garage, which may be too small for you vehicle, is an excellent opportunity to convert at least a portion into an organized storage area.
Each townhouse has a single car garage, and most have an adequate garage pad which can also be used for parking. The garage is typically too small for the huge SUV’s which adorn Pinnacle Ridge. There is some visitor parking, but parking, in general parking is tight. Table of contents

There is a bus stop outside Pinnacle Ridge which is where you catch the bus to take you to the Village. When returning home, the bus stop to disembark at, is just past the entrance to Pinnacle Ridge, about 100 ft away. From the entrance to Pinnacle Ridge you will be able to see both bus stops. Remember, that the service that runs through this area is not complimentary, as it is in the Benchlands, but it is still a decent bus service.
