When an owner decides to sell, it is important to have all your ducks in a row. This has to include financing. With this segment of a specialty market you need a real estate agent who is focused on the niche, and knows what you want. More importantly, she must know which developments offer you what you are searching for. Focus on what you want, not what you don’t want, when you work with Marion Anderson
Whistler Townhouse Locations
The townhouse locations are easily identified on this website. Furthermore, they have been chosen because of their location to the slopes. Check under the Ski-in Ski-out Listings, and you will see the Ski-in Ski-out Townhouse Locations. In conclusion, the Townhouses are: Arrowhead Point; Cedar Hollow; Heights; Lookout; Mountain Star; Painted Cliff; Ridge; Snowridge; and Stone Ridge.
The route and distance from Whistler Village up Glacier Drive to Base 2 is shown on the video below. The drive starts at the entrance to Whistler Village off Highway 99. From there I travel along Village Gate Boulevard to Blackcomb Way and then up Glacier Drive. For those who are considering the purchase of some of the best ski-in ski-out property in Whistler, then you are looking at property with a Glacier Drive address. Pinnacle Ridge, Cedar Ridge, Cedar Hollowand Summit Lane are all accessed via Glacier Drive.
Location to Whistler Village
Whenever I am showing property to buyers, and it doesn’t matter if it is ski-in/ski-out, or not they always ask about proximity to Whistler Village. The reason for this is that Whistler Village is a magnet for those wondering what to do with their day, which makes a lot of sense if the weather is not conducive to the activity that was planned. This is especially true of the winter season when the weather can be stormy.
Access to Village
I don’t recommend walking on Glacier Drive at any time of the year. Unfortunately, it does not have a sidewalk, and it is lined on either side with concrete blocks. Therefore, the snow plow clears the snow off the road up to the edge of, and over the blocks. In addition, the road is very twisty and vehicles hug the side of the road. Therefore, in winter Glacier Drive is for travelling by car or bus but not for walking. When the snow melts I have seen people walking down behind the concrete blocks, but by that time, the snow is melting off the slopes so it is safer to walk down the ski-runs.
If you think I would be a good fit to work with you and your family, please call me. You may not end up with a ski-in/ski-out property, but it is a great place to start looking.
Video of the Magic Run on Blackcomb Mountain shows where you will find the ski-in/ski-out access to the townhomes of Pinnacle Ridge. Pinnacle Ridge is located at 4700 Glacier Drive which is the road leading from Blackcomb Way up to Blackcomb Base 2. The gondola at Base 2 will take you up to mid point or down to the “heart” of Whistler Village where the lifts are. My video, taken from the Magic Chair will show you the two access points leading from the Magic Run into Pinnacle Ridge.
The Magic Chair is an old, slow tortoise of a lift. This is a good thing because the Magic Run is the bunny hill, a place where beginners learn to ski and board. At the side of the Magic Run, those who are learning to ski/board have created chutes to increase their proficiency and confidence. These chutes meander down the side of the run parallel to the access points for Pinnacle Ridge. These chutes are not of concern for children, as the young beginners can be seen in snow plow position swooshing from side to side like liquid in a glass. Everyone having lots of fun. However, for the adult learning, it is important to take your time and navigate the way slowly into Pinnacle Ridge.
Starting off your day from Pinnacle Ridge one choice would be to ski down to the ten passenger Blackcomb Gondola. This ensures a protected and warmer trip up to the top of Blackcomb Mountain. From that point you can enjoy Blackcomb Mountain or catch the Peak to Peak Gondola over to Whistler Mountain.

The owners at 2544 Snowridge Circle appreciate the ski-in ski-out access of this location, and they also appreciate the lack of tourists. With a residential zoning it means that nightly rentals are not permitted in this development. Snowridge Townhomes are the only properties in Whistler which are ski-in ski-out and residential. However, I feel they don’t get much credit for this accolade. If this location were zoned for nightly rentals, there is no doubt that the properties would sell for more and would sell quicker.
