About Pinnacle Ridge

The ultimate ski-in ski-out location is offered by these prestigious, high-end townhomes on Blackcomb Mountain.  Most of these townhouses have a living room fireplace, a private indoor or outdoor hot tub, a spacious living room with a vaulted ceiling.  When you take the Magic Chair from the base of Blackcomb up to Base II you will pass Pinnacle Ridge on the right-hand side.  These are the townhouses that everyone wants to stay in.  They are in a private location, with super-easy access to the beginner slope.

The early developers in Whistler chose the best location for Pinnacle Ridge.  However, they are expensive, starting at over $2m. Most have been renovated from the original by now, so each townhouse has something different to offer. Glacier Drive does not have a sidewalk and is too busy in winter to walk on…I wouldn’t risk it too often and certainly never with children. Best to take the bus. Return to table of contents.

There are no floor plans automatically available for Pinnacle Ridge. Thankfully, some listing agents work with their sellers and hire a company to prepare a floor plan, but that is on an as-listed basis. Return to table of contents.

Non-resident of Canada*

It is very simple to buy a property in Whistler when you are a non-resident. I have copied pg 7 of the Buyer’s Guide (see table of contents above) which was supplied by a local law firm, Race & Co., so you can read the section on non-residents. Their advice is to open a bank account in Canada as soon as you start thinking about buying a property. Revenue and nightly rates at Pinnacle Ridge

Snowy Creek has a big advantage over other ski-in ski-out rental properties…it has 4 bedrooms and a loft, plus a sofa bed, so it can sleep a lot of people.  This property should generate consistent revenue in Winter and Summer.  The property also has a single car garage for bike storage. The proximity to the Village means that the renters don’t have to rent a vehicle, so that is another plus for them.  You can use any rental management company you wish, or you can self-manage your condo, if you have the motivation. For nightly rental rates on this property and other ski-in ski-out properties your best bet is to check out and the other nightly, rental by owner sites.Return to table of contents.

Sales since January 2014, in chronological order with most recent sale at the top, posted by all Whistler brokerages:

          • 5 bedroom/5.5 bathroom $2,575,000.
          • 4 bedroom/5 bathroom $2,525,000.
          • 4 bedroom/4 bathroom $2,200,000.
          • 4 bedroom/4 bathroom $2,500,000.

A useful public website to look at is This site is initially a little tricky to navigate, but it will give you the current year and last year’s assessed value of the property, and the sales over the past year.

When the terms and conditions have been removed on each transaction, but the property has not changed title, the sales information is posted on WLS by the listing agent.  I re-post this information on the Whistler Ski in Ski out social media pages of Twitter, Facebook and Google+. That is a good way for you to track Whistler ski-in ski-out sales activity. Ski-in ski-out access at Pinnacle Ridge

The ski-in ski-out access is at the end of the development nearest the Magic run ski-slope.  The Magic Run is also for beginner skiiers so it is a very easy ski-slope for everyone to have their first warm-up run.  Best to have a look at the Site plan above (see table of contents) and you will get the sense of which properties have the best location.  All properties in Pinnacle Ridge are very close to the ski-run…but obviously some are closer than others. Return to table of contents.

Transit bus service to/from Pinnacle Ridge

There is a bus stop outside Pinnacle Ridge which is where you catch the bus to take you to the Village.  The bus stop to get off at when coming back from the Village is just past the entrance to Pinnacle Ridge, about 100ft away.  From the entrance to Pinnacle Ridge you will be able to see both bus stops. The service that runs through this area is not complimentary, as it is in the Benchlands. The service is not as frequent as the Benchlands service…but it is still a decent bus service. TW Tourism Whistler Fee*

Tourism Whistler has provided a detailed document which answers the question, “What are TW fees?” These fees are paid by each owner of a property located on Resort Land. The document also provides an overview on the purpose of Tourism Whistler. Make sure you refer to the page entitled: Resort Land Properties Subject to Restrictive Covenants for a list of properties in Whistler which have a rental restriction. Pertaining to this website, it means that for the owners in the Aspens, Le Chamois, Telemark and Woodrun, even if you live in the property, you still have to pay a commercial TW fee. For all other ski-in ski-out properties on this site, you would get a break on the commercial fees, as the other properties on this site are not subject to the restrictive covenant with rental pool requirements.
