Where are the true ski-in/ski-out condos in Whistler?

There are several types of condominiums in Whistler. A condo is an apartment. This site covers:

  • Phase 1 condos: residential with the option of renting out nightly. Self-management, rental management and designated rental management can apply.
  • Phase 2 hotel-condos: option of using the property 28 days in winter and 28 days in summer, when not in use, property is automatically in the rental pool to earn revenue. Will there be new condo developments in Whistler?

There is no area in Whistler left to develop on the slopes of Whistler Mountain or Blackcomb Mountain. Therefore, no additional ski-in ski-out condo apartment development, or any development for accommodations. All the locations on the slopes and within a 2-minute walk to the slopes have been developed. To read more about the development of Whistler and the limitations set I refer you to the Official Community Plan on the Resort Municipality of Whistler’s website.

Are there walk-to-the-slopes condo developments in Whistler?

Yes, several condo developments are within an easy walk to the slopes. When there is a road to cross it acts as a delineation and separates true ski-in ski-out property from the others.

Whistler welcomes foreign ownership of Canadian housing

Good news for non-residents of Canada. Whistler is exempt from the Federal Government’s ban on foreign investment in Canadian real estate. Unlike Squamish and Vancouver, Whistler welcomes non-residents.
