Whistler Real Estate Market Update January 2025.

No surprises with the December stats. December is the month when properties that are zoned for nightly rent will come off the market so that the owners can rent them out over the lucrative Christmas New Year holidays. These two weeks generate the highest nightly rental rate however, if the property is rented there’s no access to show the property to potential buyers. In my experience, most sellers opt for revenue over hope.

Sales

In December there were 33 sales on trend with the number of sales expected at this time of the year.

Inventory

There were 235 listings available for sale as of December 30th, and that’s 7 months of inventory.

New Listings

New listings in December were at the lowest of the year and like sales this was on trend.

Market Update

We continue to be in a balanced market and there’s no indication that this will change in the next 3 months.
